Implicit Bias Training

 OVERVIEW

The Implicit Bias-Tactical Mindset Training is designed to surface thoughts or feelings that we are unaware of that can affect decision making. The training is interactive, with a focus on open discussions around those situations that Implicit Bias can have an impact on.

Training is centered around adult learning and designed to have active participation and discussions. Training is focused on surfacing situations in which Implicit Bias may affect decision making, along with intervention strategies to reduce the influence of implicit bias on those decisions.

These courses are designed to surface real world situations and strategies in a manner that gives equal voice to everyone in the training. These classes are built on understanding one's own experience and culture in relation to another's.

Training can be designed specific for law enforcement personnel or in a shared space with community members as a vehicle to build understanding and trust.
